How do I secure my wedding date?
To secure your wedding date, you need to contact us via our contact form or by emailing us at willowandbud@hotmail.com. Once received and your date is confirmed as available, we will send over a booking form for you to complete. We will also request a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure your date.

How much do flowers cost?
This can be really difficult question to answer. 'Flowers' is such a broad term, and stem cost can vary wildly from flower to flower. Prices also change in response to inflation, where the stem is shipped from, environmental factors, the time of year and so much more. We endeavour to be as transparent as possible when pricing your florals, and give you options to create the day you dreamed of, no matter the budget.

I don't know anything about flowers; how do I know which ones to ask for?
This is no problem at all! That's what I'm here for. Your investment includes the flowers, creativity and knowledge of the florist, and you can have as little or as much input as you are comfortable with. Some couples decide to leave everything completely to the florist, where others have specific flowers and designs they want to follow. Either is totally fine! Just remember, pick your suppliers because you love their work, and then relax! We've got this!

Can I make a last minute cancellation?
There may be some circumstances that require you to cancel your event at the last minute. If you cancel more than 3 months in advance, before any payment other than deposit has been received, you will not be liable for any further cost, other than the non-refundable deposit.
However, if you cancel within 3 months of the event date, you will unfortunately be liable for half of the amount of the planned florals. This is to ensure that I am able to support myself, my family and my business even in the case of cancellation.

What happens if I change my mind about the florals after I send over the booking form?
This happens all the time! You may send over your booking form with all your inspiration, and not get married for another two years. It's normal for you to change your ideas slightly, or even completely, over the course of your engagement. We will have a planning meeting a couple of months before your day so we can finalise all your plans and make sure the day will be exactly as you pictured it.

What happens if you can't make our wedding due to illness?
This is my worst nightmare, and I pray it doesn't happen, but we can't predict the future. If, for some reason such as illness or other factor, I am unable to complete your wedding florals, I will try to ensure that there is a skilled florist that can take over from me to ensure your day goes as smoothly as possible.
-
I'm allergic to a certain flower. Does that matter?
If you have any allergies or health problems that may be aggravated by a certain flower or material that will be used in your florals, it is imperative that you let us know so that we can ensure that that particular flower is not used in your flowers. The last thing we want is for you to get ill on your wedding day! This is also included in the contract you will sign when booking with us.

What happens once I've sent an enquiry?
When you send over your initial enquiry, I will check my diary to ensure I am free on the date of your wedding. If I am, I will respond to your message with a detailed enquiry form, which will give me some more details of your plans for your wedding flowers.
Once I have received your completed enquiry form, I will get to work on an initial quote. This will outline options for what you could choose for your venue, for instance your bridal bouquet and 3 bridesmaids bouquets, fireplace florals or an arch, and an estimated price for each installation or item. This way, you can pick and choose what you might want, and also get ideas for things that you hadn't thought of!
If you are happy with the initial quote and would like to book with me, I will send over a contract for you to sign and a non-refundable deposit of £100 will be required to secure your date.
When your wedding is approximately 3 months away, we will arrange a consultation, either face to face or online via Zoom (whichever you prefer!) and we will make a final plan for your wedding florals. After this consultation, I will be able to send over your final quote and 50% of this will be due following your consultation.
1 month prior to your wedding, I will send over your final invoice, which will be the remaining 50% of the balance.
The week of your wedding, usually a couple of days before, I will order your flowers and get to work creating! These will then be set up the morning of your wedding, and bouquets/buttonholes will be delivered to you directly or left in vases at the venue, depending on the venue.

Are you environmentally friendly?
Traditionally, floristry can have a bad impact on the planet. Floral foam, plastic wires and other non-reusable materials were used frequently, and with thousands of weddings happening across the world daily, it must have added up to an obscene amount of waste.
Since starting Willow & Bud, I have made it my goal to find the most environmentally friendly processes I can, so that I impact the planet as little as possible. Unfortunately, there are always going to be some things that we are unable to change right away, but I am trying my best to address these. For instance, using flowers delivered from other countries. Where possible I will use British grown florals, which is especially achievable across the summer months.
I also grow a variety of roses, dahlias, cosmos, snapdragons and many more flowers in my garden and also at my allotment. I use these where I can, and I feel these also add a personal touch to your wedding florals.
I avoid single use plastics. I do not use floral foam, any wire I use is recycled across multiple events.
I compost green waste. I am lucky enough to have 2 compost bins at my allotment, and I compost all green waste I produce.
